Skills Academy TRIAL Class

At Fitness Bee’s Skills Academy, our licensed Occupational therapists will teach your child to be independent in basic hygiene practices like washing hands and brushing teeth, communication skills, socialization, self-care skills like dressing themselves and feeding, as well as safety skills like identifying and processing potential hazards and problem solving during dangerous situations. We’ll also cover simple meal preparation like making healthy snacks and doing simple chores like putting away toys and cleaning up. 

For children ages 2.5 – 4  and  5 – 7 (2 age groups)

Class requirement:

1. For younger class, child must be able to

• Engage in structured activities for at least 10 minutes at a time, with or without assistance
• Tolerate working alongside other kids in a small group given some assistance
• Comprehend and follow simple 1-2 step verbal instructions whether in English or Filipino
• Produce at least 2-3 word utterances to communicate needs and wants

2. For older class, child must be able to

• Engage in structured activities for at least 15 minutes at a time, with minimal to no assistance
• Tolerate working together with other kids in a small group given some assistance
• Comprehend and follow multi step verbal instructions whether in English or Filipino
• Communicate needs and wants in sentences
